

A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Ada Marie Gallagher, 71 of Newark, will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Cynthia Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Ada was born in Racine, Ohio on August 20, 1940 to the late Cecil and Rosetta (Lyons) McClaskey. She passed away at the Newark Healthcare Centre on October 30, 2011.
Ada was a member of the Old Country Church, where she was a “prayer warrior.” She volunteered for the Salvation Army for many years. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Jerry) Hartsough; grandchildren, Terry and Michael (Valerie); four great grandchildren; special friend, Charles Luckett; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins;
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Emileen and Isabelle; and two brothers, Diotis and Harold.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ada to the Salvation Army, 250 East Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
Friends may call at the 179 Granville Street, Newark on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM.
