Adell was born January 30, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Walter R. and Rose VanDyke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter D. VanDyke.
Adell was a gifted piano player, often playing at Salem Baptist Church. She loved music and her faith. Despite her health issues, she kept going to church, and she followed the Lord as best she could. Although things weren't always best, she made sure that her family went to church where they were introduced to the Lord. Her family knows she is with the Lord, and they have the hope of a blessed reunion one day, as told in 1st Thessalonians 4:13.
Adell is survived by her son, Paul (Julie) Davis; her grandchildren, Kelli (fiancé Ray Price) Davis and Melissa Davis; great-grandchildren, Bradley Davis, Raelynn Price and Natalie Price; and many other relatives and friends.
Family will accept friends on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 10:00am at the chapel at Kingwood Memorial Park at 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center.
