Alethea Acoff

Alethea Acoff, age 54, passed away on March 24, 2022. She was born October 13, 1967 in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in departure by her mother Rowena Acoff, and sisters Demetric A. Acoff, Alfreda D. Acoff and Tanya C. Acoff. Alethea attended Saginaw High School in Saginaw, MI. where she graduated class of '85. Alethea was very adventurous / generous having worked as a MMR/Firefighter for many years, putting others before herself. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping & buying toys for her 4 children, nieces and nephews and listening to music from the 50s. She loved to entertain! Alethea leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Kimani, Kassidi, Joshua, and Kamylah Acoff, her father; Levi Acoff Sr.; Siblings, Levi Acoff Jr. of Michigan, Linda J. Acoff of Ohio, Rowena Acoff Il of Michigan, and Annetta I. Acoff, of Ohio; Her best friend’s(one of many) Amanda Lake and Amanda's son Derrick Lake Jr; Nieces and Nephews; Maurice (Linda Sue) Acoff, Vernice Baiden, Lamont (Kimberly) Acoff, Calvin D. Johnson, Deonte' J. Johnson, Tiara A. Acoff, and Dee Robinson; great-nieces and nephews; Camrin Napper, Marcellus Acoff, Makayla Acoff, Kyah J. Acoff, Laila S. Acoff, Saniyah Rose A. Acoff, De'Andre L. Minniefield Ill, and a host of spiritual brothers, sisters and friends! Alethea was baptized on June 14, 1986 alongside her sisters Tanya & Alfreda as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was so excited to have dedicated her life to Jehovah! Throughout the years Alethea spent time doing auxiliary pioneer work, preaching about God’s promised New World to her many colleagues and associates, and family members not in the faith. She thoroughly enjoyed attending the assemblies and conventions, family worship and doing deep Bible research as she studied about Jehovah. She was always so excited to see thousands of Jehovahs Witnesses in attendance together and getting to meet new friends. Alethea will truly be missed for her selfless, kind, bold, and goofball loving personality. She truly had an hilarious sense of humor! The Acoff family finds hope in John 5:28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. " We look forward to reuniting with her in a beautiful paradise world!
