Alexander Michael Gray

Alexander Michael Gray, age 21, of Pataskala Ohio, passed away October 12, 2021. He is the oldest son of parents Paul and Carla (Maietta) Gray and a big brother to Daniel Gray. Alex, affectionately known as "Big Country", attended St. Matthew grade school and was a 2019 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, where he was a member of the varsity football team. He began his football career at the age of 7. He was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gahanna, Ohio.

Along with football, Alex spent his free time camping, fishing, and working on cars. He was currently employed by Auto Zone and enjoyed his job.

In addition to his loving parents Paul and Carla, he is survived by his brother Daniel; his beloved grandmother, "Ma'Am" Shirley Maietta of Blacklick; his paternal grandmother, Barb Rife of Columbus; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; best friends Branden May and Zach "Greenie" Green; and numerous friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4 to 8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 22 at 10:30am at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Newark Catholic High School, 1 Green Wave Dr., Newark, OH 43055.
