Alice Rosemary Johnson

Alice Rosemary Johnson, age 91, died July 1, 2010. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 16, 1919 to Albert and Estella Young. She was a member of Eastern Star, TWIG 31 with Children’s Hospital, and the Columbus Cancer Society. She loved to dance, play Euchre, bowl, and collect antiques but, most of all, she loved sharing time with family and friends. Alice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James E. Johnson; and sister, Miriam Monroe. She is survived by her son James Roger (Judith) Johnson; grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, and David (Cici) Ellis; great-grandchildren, Erin and Dustin; former daughter-in-law, Diane Burden Johnson; dear cousin and friend, Wanita Norman-Butler; many nieces, nephews and friends; and her cat, Simone. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10 am on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
