April Lee Hurt

April Lee (McKay) Hurt, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018. She was born on January 30, 1943 in Dayton, OH. April was a member of Shekinah Christian Center Four Square Church, where she worked as the secretary for many years. April served the Lord on many mission trips around the world, served as the volunteer coordinator and host of a radio program at WCVO 104.9 FM, and was a member of AGLOW International. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Jerry A. Hurt; parents, Elvie and Susan (Beemer) McKay; sister, Tiana Reusch. April is survived by her children, Kimberley Buchanan, Kristopher Hurt, and Keith (Debbie) Hurt; grandchildren, Jessica Buchanan, Joshua (Annette) Buchanan, Allison Hurt, Bethany Hurt, Anna Hurt, Emily Hurt, and Sydney Hurt; great-grandchildren, Samantha Buchanan and Kinsley Wright and extended family members. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday and 10-11 am Friday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will held 11 am Friday, January 19, 2018. Pastor Patricia Abdalla and Pastor Keith Hurt co-officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of April to Schoedinger East Chapel. Love You Forever…
