Arthur Jennings Smith

Arthur was born on November 18, 1937 in Columbus to the late Charles and Marjorie (Huston) Smith. He served in the armed forces in The US Navy and retired from the Columbus Dispatch after 40 years. Arthur was an avid fisherman and loved boating. He was a handyman and enjoyed building.

He is survived by his daughters Holly Miller, Wendi (Butch) Crum and Stacy Gibson; grandchildren Heather Miller, Jeremy Miller, Summer Virga, Mackenzie Jacobson, Dakota Gibson and Brandon Gibson; step son Keith Culbertson; great grandchildren Zaine Monroe Perry, Katie Miller and Aiden Amodra; sisters Cheryl (Ernie) Tuller and Gayle Kaiser as well as other extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Marda (Liford) Smith and his son Arthur Jennings Smith, Jr.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 4-7PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11AM. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery with full military honors provided.
