Audrey Jean Beard, age 92, passed away at her home under the loving care of her husband and Ohio Health Hospice on May 16, 2022. She was born in Orient, Ohio on October 20, 1929 to the late Lawrence and Thelma Shaeffer Walters.
Audrey graduated from Scioto Twp. Schools in 1947. She went on to marry Robert D. Beard on April 9, 1950 in Groveport. They shared 72 years of marriage. She is survived by her devoted husband Bob; son, Robert(Ronda) Beard; daughter, Barbara(John) Earnheart; grandchildren: Aaron, Jeff, Jake and Andrew; great-grandchildren: Lindsay, Zac, Nate, Abby and Sophia.
She is preceded in death by her son Larry Beard and grandson Adam Beard.
Audrey enjoyed a competitive card game, playing volleyball, participating in square dancing and spending time in Limetree Park, Florida. She will be deeply missed by her family. She will be remembered as a caring person with a kind heart. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Karl Road Baptist Church.
Her life will be honored with a Funeral Service at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Karl Road Baptist Church, 5750 Karl Road, Columbus 43229. Guests will be received at the church from 10:30am to the time of service. Interment Union Cemetery. SCHOEDINGER NORTH is serving the Beard family.
