August Michael "Zeke" Ruzicka

August Michael "Zeke" Ruzicka, age 67 of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Mike was born and raised in Columbus, son of August Robert "Gus" Ruzicka and Nancy Lee Schwan. Mike was a charming and caring man who had a great sense of humor. He had a smile that could light up a room and melt the hearts of any woman who came in his presence. He was a Master Electrician and the owner of Hook It Up Electric. He enjoyed fishing, frisbee golf, poker night with friends, and was a tremendous musician, playing in numerous bands, most recently Rezeeka Band. Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lucille Ruzicka, maternal grandparents, Mayme and Michael Figliola, and siblings, Sheryl Ruzicka, Kenny Love and Hillary Taylor. He will be greatly missed by his loving daughter, Amanda Lucille "Amy" Soltero; mother, Nancy (Jerry) Schwan; father, August "Gus" (Linda) Ruzicka; siblings, Suzi Sullivan, Terri Ruzicka, Becky Love, Penny (Frank) Raihala, Ted Love, Kathryn (Michael) McKenney, and Eric (Kristin) Taylor; longtime friend, Walter "Pete" Goldhardt; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 3-5 P.M. Sunday, October 25, 2020 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Guests are respectfully required to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure the safety of guests.
