Barbara A. Adkins, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Laurels of Worthington. She was born February 9, 1945 to the late Harry and Mona (Hedges) Wiley in Columbus, Ohio. Barbara was a graduate of North High School. She was a dedicated employee for Juvenile Corrections at a variety of places, including Scioto, Riverview, Tico and Marion Corrections. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time playing slot machines. She is survived by devoted son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Lisa Rogers; brother, Harry (Sandy) Wiley; beloved grandson, Dillon Rogers and his mother, Dalene Thatcher; aunt, Norma Walker; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her loving cat, Angel. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Private family interment at a later date.
