Benny Co

Benny Dy Co, 58, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born on December 1, 1962, in Manila, Philippines. After college in 1988, he moved to the United States to start his career in IT as a computer programmer. He was employed by the State of Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation at the time of his death, where he worked for over 20 years.

Benny was a kind, caring, and loving husband, father, son, and friend. Everyone knew him as a sweet and gentle man who always put his loved ones before himself and was a man of faith. Throughout his life he always enjoyed reading and continuing to learn. He could answer nearly any trivia question he was asked. He also had a love for music, traveling, and taking pictures to treasure all of life's adventures and precious moments.

Benny is preceded in death by his parents, To Buan Co and Bee Ching Dy.

He will be remembered by his loving wife, Maria Aurora Domingo Co; his daughter Mariel Elizabeth Domingo Co (Alex Griffith); siblings, Andy Dy Co (Solly Co) and Cherry Dy Co; nephews, Allan Co and Clarence Co; niece Bernice Abigail King (Khelman King) and her son Ysrael King; as well as other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna from 5pm to 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 21 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville, at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
