Bernice Jodrey-Grooms, age 95, passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband; Howard Olen Grooms, grandson; Stephen Howard "Stevie" Grooms, son and daughter-in-law; Jerry (Nancy) Grooms, and her 5 siblings. Bernice is survived by her children; Dennis (Linda) Grooms, Debbie (Dale) Swicegood, grandchildren; Michael (Jane) Gray, Tammy (David) Thompson, Anthony (Angela) Grooms, Michael (Dallas) Swicegood, Suzanne (Kevin) VanBibber, Mark (Kaitlyn) Swicegood, great grandchildren; Shelby, Sammi, Kristen, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Kassidy, Tyler, Isabella, Alexi, Blake, Brantley, Logan, Lyrical, Wesley, Colin, her nieces, nephews and friends. Bernice was devoted to her family and loved to cook for them as well as play games, and just spend time with them. She liked to read in her spare time. A private family service will be held.
