

BROWN, Bertha M., age 87, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on February 17, 1937, in Oswald, West Virginia. Bertha enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, listening to hymns and old country music, but her top priority laid with caring for and tending to her family. She will always be remembered for her “silly sayings” but most of all, her unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George E. Brown of 59 years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Bare and Annie Jarrell; brothers Bill and John Bare; sisters, Reva Green and Betty Scott; and her son, Danny Brown. Survived by son, Dale (Cathy) Brown; daughter-in-law Patricia Brown; grandchildren, Christina (Phil) Gussler, Anthony (Brandy) Brown, Aaron (Laura) Price, Daniel (Melissa) Brown, Shannon (Robert) Cuschleg, Amber (Beau) Atchley, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and a very special family friend, Mike Ryan. Family will receive friends 10:00-12:00pm, Monday, October 21, 2024, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43232 where funeral service will immediately follow.
