Betty Adkins

Betty Jane Adkins, age 90 of Columbus, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012. Betty was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late Cyrus and Ruth Sherman. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Adkins, and brother, Paul Sherman. Betty was a very thoughtful and caring woman who had an outgoing personality. She was extremely strong-willed and was called “Grambo” by her grandchildren. Betty was a devout Christian who believed in doing whatever was necessary to take care of her family. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with all of them. She will be greatly missed by her children, David (Debbie) Adkins, Charlene Ailes, Will (Heather) Adkins, Paul Adkins, and Becky (Kevin) King; grandchildren, Kimberly, Aric, Deanna, Tim, Sherri, Shane, David, Adam, Jenny, Jesse, Hannah, and Cyrus; many great grandchildren; brother, Gaylord Sherman; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Ave., where family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Friday. Rev.
