Betty J Irvin, age 84, of Upper Arlington, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at her residence. Born March 1, 1931 to the late Evlyn Cordell Lax in Bedford, Iowa. Owner of Betty's Place bar/restaurant. Preceded in death by husband Robert Irvin. Survived by daughter, Linda (Bob) Paxton, of Upper Arlington; step children, Debbie (David) Phaneuf, Helene (Jeff) Smiley, Mary Elizabeth and Robby Irvin; grandchildren, Robert Paxton III, Michael (Mary Kate Francis) Paxton, Vincent (Jill Gudenkauf) Paxton, Maria (Craig Petty) Paxton, Derek and Dylan Phaneuf and Sammie and Chazz Georgely-Jordan; 7 great grandchildren; and best friends, Judy Askew, Trixie, and Fred King.
