Betty Jane Wood

Betty Jane Wood, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents; Jay and Ethel Strickland, husbands; James Frederick Hemming and William "Bill" Wood, brothers; Charles and Eugene Strickland, sisters; Marie Hamby, Fran Lockhart, Wanda Jones, son-in-law; James Stevens, niece; Virginia Coomer. Betty is survived by her children; Pam Chilson, Jimmy D. Hemming, Vickie Stevens, grandchildren; Robert (Kathy) Hiles, Robyn (Rick) Zborovsky, Scott (Liesl) Hemming, Valerie (Cass)Bachman, Lorie (Frankie) Chilson, great grandchildren; Nicole Hiles, Kyle Zborovsky, Kristin Mahoney, Brando Hemming, Gigi Hemming, Jayden Ferrell, Evelyn Bachman, Rune Bachman, sister-in-law; Wilma Strickland, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Betty loved her grandchildren more than anything and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them. She also liked to go to the beach and get a tan. She enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach. Betty owned many restaurants over the years with her last one being in Tybee Island, GA. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 5-7 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY with a private funeral service. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery.
