

Brenda Kay Furbee, age 58, of Gahanna, OH passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 18, 1952 in Summit, OH to the late Harold and Mary Irion. Brenda graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School and enjoyed working at the Gahanna Grill, where she met her husband, Bob Furbee. She was employed by the Franklin County Clerk of Courts for 18 years and found joy in her everyday life of family and work. She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars post #9857 and the Moose Lodge. Brenda enjoyed helping people and had the ability to bring out the best in others. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Furbee, Jr.; son, Andrew Furbee; brother, Harold “Butch” Irion, Jr.; sister, Mary Lee (Andy) Neuman; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Greg) Householder, Jayson Irion, Nick (Lindsay) Irion, Pamela Irion; great-nieces and nephews, Clayton, Kayleigh and Carli Householder, Meredith Irion and Megan, Zachary and Chad Neuman; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kistler; many other good friends and family. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10am Friday; Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
