Brenda Sue Seymour-Bennett, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born in Columbus on March 28, 1956, to John D. Ater and Edith Saum, and spent many years as a school bus driver for Southwestern City Schools. She was a member of Galloway Presbyterian Church, and she enjoyed singing karaoke. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, John D. Ater, and step-father, Earl Saum. She is survived by her husband, Frank Bennett; mother, Edith Saum; children, William, Timothy and Kimberly Bennett; first husband, Mike Seymour; brother, John Ater; step-siblings, Mike (Jodi) Saum, Beverly Smith (Matt Morgan), and Sharon Ray; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and friends at Select Specialty Hospital. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at the funeral home.
