

Brian Patrick Donahue, 79 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on May 1, 2016 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio to Vincent and Virginia Donahue. Brian graduated from St. Charles Preparatory School in 1955. After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1959 from the Business School with a degree in marketing, he worked at Rikes Department Store in Dayton, Ohio. Brian served in the Air National Guard and was called to active service in France for the Berlin Crisis in 1961. He had a 52 year career in Real Estate. He was a broker for many realtors over the years with Brian Donahue Realtors, Better Homes and Gardens, Sherlock Homes Inc. Realtors and Shamrock Investments. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children Erin and Shawn and two brothers Kevin and Alan Donahue. He is survived by his loving wife Lee Bennett "Binnie" and two children Kerry (Laurie) Donahue and Colleen Donahue (William) Seitz, three stepchildren Stephanie Nitschke McKeon (James), Wendy Nitschke Kunes (Jeffery) and Alison Nitschke. He has five grandchildren, Ryan Donahue, Matthew Donahue, Shannon Seitz, W. Cody Seitz, Charlotte Kunes as well as two brothers Dennis and Terry Donahue. Brian was an avid Ohio State football fan and a member of the Ohio State University Presidents Club. He has contributed to The Ohio State University Foundation and was a member of Charity Newsies, Worthington Jaycees, Upper Arlington Civic Association, The Columbus Board of Realtors and Scioto Country Club where he loved playing golf. He also enjoyed challenging his grandchildren to a game of ping-pong. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Rd., where family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Friday, May 20, 2016. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
