

Brian Kit Ford passed away Sunday May 8th, 2016. Born April 6, 1959 in Sandusky, Ohio, He attended Ashland High School, and graduated from Westerville North High School. Brian obtained a bachelors’ degree from Ohio State University, where he lettered in soccer.
He is survived by his wife and friend of 21 years, Annette Ford, mother Georgene Ford, grandmother Margaret Ritchie, son Matthew Haner (Elizabeth), sister Sally Ford-Lyles (Kevin), brother Michael Ford (Cheryl), uncles Charles Birmilen, Steve Ford (Sharon), and Vernon Ford (Phu), grandchildren William and Riley, nieces and nephews Michael Jr., Kate, Devoney, Xander, and Hunter as well as numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Chris Ford and uncle Phil Ford (Jan).
With over 25 years in the event industry, Brian Ford made a name for himself as one of the most inventive and dependable event décor specialists in Central Ohio. He founded and has served as President of Ford Events since 2007. With incredible creativity and a genuine interest in others, Brian and his crew spent considerable time with their clients to make their dreams come true. Brian’s devoted staff will continue the business.
Brian was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a charter boat captain and co-owner of Ford’s Best “Eye” Dea Charters. He enjoyed woodworking with his buddies. Brian was known for his sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always helping others and was deeply loved.
Friends may attend the visitation Monday, May 16 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Schoedinger’s Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16 at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Support Community of Ohio or Ronald McDonald House.
