Bruce “Dave” Cutlip Sr., 80, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Dave’s love for his family was unparalleled, and he was the best husband, dad, and Pap-Pap that we could ever ask for.
Dave was a retired Iron Worker and Apprenticeship Instructor with Union Local 172. He was a notable iron worker, and one of the last sites he worked at was the Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University. It gave him great joy to be a part of the Iron Worker’s family.
Dave’s service in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War was a source of immense pride and honor. As an L7 AmTrac Operator, he served his country with dedication and love for the Marine Corps. Oorah!
Dave’s passion for hunting and fishing was unmeasured, spending many hours having fun and catching the big one! He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Dave is preceded in death by his wife, Edna “Cookie” Cutlip, son Bruce Cutlip Jr., parents Arthur and Louise Cutlip, and siblings Patricia Huhn and Betty Lou Short. He is survived by children, Melanie (James Francis) Cutlip, Christine (James) Wymer, Brian (Christine) Cutlip, and several beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In honor of his wishes, there will be no service. Please contribute to the Military and Service Heroes (MASH) Pantry and Resource Center, 648 Clymer Rd, Suite 113, Marysville, OH 43040, www.mashpantry.org.
