Carol Ann Coulson, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 18, 2026. She was born in Circleville, Ohio on February 3, 1940, to the late William Ira and Mabel Maxine Harrison, and was known from the very beginning for her beautiful blue eyes and strong-willed spirit. Carol retired as an insurance underwriter after many dedicated years of service. She loved traveling to Dollywood in Tennessee, enjoying a good meal at York Steak House, listening to the music of James Rogers, watching QVC, and is how she earned the name "QVC Queen", and, much to everyone’s concern, faithfully keeping the cigarette companies in business. Carol was stubborn in the way only she could be — independent to the core and rarely willing to ask for help, even when she probably should have. If she wanted something done, she had her own way of doing it, and there was little chance of changing her mind once it was made up. Her stubbornness, however, often came with a sense of humor that kept family and friends laughing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Joe Coulson in 2007; her son, Nick Coulson in 2022; and her siblings, Gary and Donna. Carol is survived by her grandchildren, William, Nick Jr. (Robin), Amber, Tauney, and Joseph (Emily) Coulson; several great-grandchildren; along with many neighbors and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 12 noon–1:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204, where funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Grove City, Ohio.
