

Carol Juanita Snyder, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. She was born in Manchester, Ohio, on June 13, 1918, to the late Elmer and Catherine Daily. She worked for 21 years for Albers Colonial Stores, starting as a cashier and working her way up to buyer. She then worked for a doctor’s office in Gahanna for several years. Carol loved people, and she was always happy to meet someone new. She loved reading recipe books and was a great cook, and her favorite thing to cook was something she had never made before. She also loved gardening and was awarded for the garden she kept at her Gahanna condo. For more than 20 years, she enjoyed traveling to Florida for the winter. She was a member of the Eastern Star, as well as the 1918 Club. She had also been a member of Mifflin Presbyterian Church since 1949. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Waldo Snyder; siblings, Ila Haring and Raymond Daily; and infant siblings, Louis and Rosella. She is survived by her children, Merle (Dianna) Snyder, and Beverly (Randy) Adkins; grandchildren, Scott (Celesia) Snyder and their children Kalasha and Daphne, Cheryl (Michael) Gillespie, Lisa (Mark) Hamill and their children Katie, Joshua and Grant, and Cindy (Rob) Jones and their children Sarah, Stephenie and Jackie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Mifflin Presbyterian Church, 123 Granville St., Gahanna. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
