

Carole died peacefully in her sleep on April 6, 2018 at her home in First Community Village. She was a gifted artist who launched three art galleries in the Delray Beach, Florida area and was founder of the Arts Arena Gallery, a working artists cooperative and gallery begun in 3/2008. She did interior design, ceramics, portrait sculpture and contemporary paintings. She is remembered in the art community as a person who empowered and supported new artists. Carole is survived by her four children: Davy Williams of St. Petersburg, Florida, Julie Hart (Phil) and Evan Williams (Nancy) of Columbus and Amy Rowe (Doug) of Chicago and eight grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her sisters Barbara Vandenhoeck and Mimi Evans of NYC and brother Richard Evans of Santa Rosa, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two husbands. She was born in Pittsburg, PA June 2, 1932 and grew up in Mainline Philadelphia. She is a graduate of the Agnes Irwin Prep School in Philadelphia and attended Endicott College and the Columbus College of Art and Design. Carole raised her family in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1973 and returned to Columbus in 2013. She was a member of the Junior League, the National League of American Pen Women, Women in the Visual Arts and the Delray Florida Art League. Her Memorial Service will be held at 4pm on June 9, 2018 in the Schuler Chapel at First Community Village in Columbus, Ohio. Gifts can be made to the American Cancer Society.
