Carolyn Marie Penn, age 97, of Columbus, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014. She was born August 22, 1916 in Berwyn, IL, the daughter of the late George and Mae Louise (Spambalg) Peters. She was a graduate of J. Sterling Morton High School and attended North Central College in Naperville, IL where she earned her bachelors degree. In the late 1940's, she and her husband moved to Lorain, OH and later to Brecksville and Amherst, OH before moving to Columbus in 1963. Carolyn was an office manager for a number of years working beside her late husband, Walter Penn, as he practiced stockbroking. She is survived by her son, Wesley P. (Corrine) Penn of Dunnellon, FL and Norman B. (Wendy) Penn of Orient, OH; granddaughters, Christie (Michael) Schaller of St. Louis, MI and Stephanie (Nick) Artz of Atlanta, GA; and 5 great-grandchildren.
