

Catherine K. “Cathy” Haddox, age 62, of Columbus, Ohio, peacefully passed away on April 26, 2012 after a brief battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born in Chillicothe, OH on May 31, 1949. Cathy was a loving, caring, and gentle soul. She was a child advocate, proudly serving as Mother, Grandmother, and Godmother to many. A liberal democrat who championed the rights and freedoms of all people, she was always willing to help others in need. An accomplished seamstress, she made prom and wedding dresses, costumes, and once worked for Lucy’s Toy Shop making puppets. She enjoyed genealogy, but above all, loved spending time with her family. Cathy was preceded in death by her children, Amy J. and Michael D. Leisure; husband, James “Moose” Haddox; brother, Ralph A. Gray; and father, Charles W. Gray. She is survived by her loving children, Michelle A. (Christa R. Richardson) Leisure and Robby (Cassie) Haddox; grandchildren, James R. Haddox, Serenity M. Haddox, Alyssa, Lauren, and Michael Skaggs; mother, Alicia (Rout) Gray; siblings, Charles “Buddy” (Janice) Gray, Dr. Sheilah M. (Henry “Rennie” Brown) Gray, and Norma J. Gray; lifelong friend, Patty Parker; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Friends may call from 3-6pm on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave. where the funeral service will be held at 6pm. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating.
