I was a neighbor of Cathy's maternal grandparents; and her mother, in fact, was my babysitter.  Having known Cathy from the time she took her first breath has been a
blessing for me.  Although we were geographically separated, I was able to follow the steps of her journey by getting updates from her family.  How bravely she faced each
obstacle put in her path.  My husband Bob and I have often praised the way in which she unconditionally loved the members of her family.  She had such a marvelous relationship with her mother.  Any conversation with her included loving comments about her
husband, her two sons, and her very close cousins and their families.  She will be missed by many, but she has left a great example of how to live life with so many of us.

Todd, I am so sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. She was such a fighter, determined to beat her illness.  I will always remember the short time we had together sitting around the CMC compound chatting about our racing lives and life's challenges. She was a great example of strength in the face of those challenges. May God Bless her and hold her in his arms.

Cathy my dear friend, I am blessed to have been at your side during your final breaths on this earth. We laughed about the same things...we cried about the same things...and we love our families the same...unconditionally from the bottom of our hearts. We understood each other and we loved each other.  Your life was cut short but our memories will live on forever. You are now free from all the machines,  and equipment that tied you down and held you back. You will be, for certain,  one of GOD's special angels.  I love you...RIP dear friend.

Words simply cannot express the fond memories and feelings I possess for this compassionate, brave, and inspiring woman.  Meeting her as a very young adult, cluelessly floundering around, she shared wisdom and offered empathy to me that I am eternally grateful for.  I carry these words and reminiscences with me now, and will carry them forever.  My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends.  Rest in peace, Cathy. I met Cathy on my first day of school in 5th grade at Park School in Cambridge, Ohio.  Cathy became my friend on the first day  and we shared many years of friendship from slumber parties to 4-H (We were a sewing group known as Busy Fingers)...but my best memories were of our band days together from Junior High through High School.  We had a lot of memories from marching band to concert band...I always remember Cathy was the best at everything! I would pray she and I would be together in the competitions because I knew we would get the first place ribbon!  I envied Cathy so much growing up because she was "Special".  She was an only child with loving parents and an I was one of 8 children...so I really liked hanging out at her house as often as I could....it was my home away from home. It was wonderful connecting with her again on Facebook the past several years....we connected again after 30 years, shared our lives, and commented on one another's posts feeling that same deep affection we had on that first day of school when we were 10 years old.  People come and go in our lives but some stay in our hearts forever...My Friend, you will be in my Heart forever.  Someday, we will play our clairinets together in heaven...so start practicing,  beause you will have to teach me the scales again, just like you did in 5th grade. Thank you for Being my Friend.

Cathy, I hadn't seen you in years until our class reunion. I am so glad that I had the chance to see you. When I think of the the Lutheren Church, catechism and junior chior I think of you. Rest in Peace. Prayers for your husband and sons.

Now rest, Cathy with our Heavenly Father... your life on Earth is done but we will see you again sitting at the right hand of Jesus! Your battle is over and your home! The wisdom learned by medical staff, friends, and family will live on because of your brave battle. We morn your leaving in the feeling human flesh but know you are alive and well and will continue on God's work!. God Bless your friends and family!

Altho I didn't know you well, Cathy, you were an inspiration to me. The way you were thankful for every day that you got to spend with your family makes me more appreciative of my days. I know that you will be greatly missed by all who knew you. But rest in peace with the knowledge that you left a very positive & lasting impression on us all. <3

Over the past year you and I became great friends.  You showed us ALL how to live without complaining.  You made us ALL smile at our class reunion meetings and then again at our reunion. Cathy was a sweet neighborhood girl. We car pooled in early high school years but had lost track of each other over time. I'm so grateful that through FB and at our high school reunion we were able to catch up with each others life events. I wish with all my heart that she had been given more time. She was a sweet spirit and lady of great grace.

Although Cathy and I graduated from CHS together we were not close friends. Through FB, after many years, I have come to see her strong spirit and her love for all living things of this earth. She now tends another garden and is the guardian angel of the one she has left.

Cathy was always the one with the smile! & the nicest person at school, as well.  Seems she didn't grow out of it.  So happy I got to see her at the reunion, Class of 72.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. So very very sorry for your loss.
