Charles E. “Chick” Block, age 71, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009. He was born September 1, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles F. and Betty (Goode) Block. Chick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1956 to 1960. He retired from IBM after more than 30 years of service, and then was an employee for many years at Kohl’s in Lewis Center. He was an avid OSU Buckeye fan, and loved watching football and golf. Chick is survived by his children: Mark (Julie) Block, Amy (Tim) Fulton and Denice (Pat) Tiberi; step-children: Nancy (Don) Vogel and Kevin Koile; 9 grandchildren; and sister, Brenda Block (Ben). Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Friday, December 4, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 P.M.
