Christine M. Morgan

Christine M. Morgan, 87, of Circleville, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Pickaway Manor. She was born April 21, 1926 in Circleville, the daughter of Edward A. and Flora (Landenberger) Schreiner. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Leo D. Morgan in 2004.

Christine was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She never learned to drive and so she had to work within walking distance. She had worked for Dr. David Goldschmidt, the Pickaway County Clerk of Courts and retired from the Pickaway County Library.

She was a charter member of the Child Conservation League and was a member of the Circleville Art League, the Columbus Art League and the National Tole Painting Society. Christine was a well known local artist. She painted with oils and watercolors and also used charcoal in her artwork. Christine loved nature and was an avid birdwatcher.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Kyle) Morgan of Granville and Christopher “Chip” (Janelle) Morgan of Circleville; grandchildren, Krista McAfee of Circleville and Spencer Davis Morgan of Granville; a great-granddaughter, Sadie Morgan McAfee; sisters, Doris Cloud, Rosemary Hunsicker and Mary Schreiner; and brother, Ned (Faye) Schreiner, all of Circleville; and nephews, Clark and Ed Hunsicker.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Gerhard Kraus officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 E. Mound St., Circleville, OH 43113.
