Christopher Michael McManes

Christopher M. McManes, born November 12, 1955 and left this world unexpectedly on June 20, 2012 following a motorcycle accident. Survived by his best friend and wife of 24 years, Karyl. Also survived by his mother Patsy McManes, cousins Susan Sweet, David and Debra Hendrickson, Kathy and Stephen Barker, Tanda and Tony Abel, Steve and Caroline McManes. Children Joseph, Kristin, Benjamin, Michael and many grandchildren. Chris completed barber school, bought his own business and has done what he loved as a career ever since. Chris has always felt blessed to have great friends and loyal clients, he enjoyed being outdoors and loved to cook for family and friends. Chris was blessed to share his life with his best friend and together they shared a passion for all animals especially dogs. To say we are sad at his loss is such an understatement. Like the Tin Man my heart is truly broken. Chris’s freckle dog Bailey is mourning his loss as are all the dogs that we call our kids. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Delaware County Humane Society in Chris’s memory are requested. Chris is a hero by donating the gift of life through organ donation.
