

Cynthia Ann (Steinbrunner) Cramer, 70, went to eternal sleep on February 15, 2020 peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Bernadine (Feltz) Steinbrunner, brother Richard “Dick” Burton, sisters Millie Hobbs, Dolores Bettinger, and Ween Konicki. Cindy is survived by her devoted husband John William, daughter Amy (Christopher) Emmelhainz, son John (Jenny) Cramer, five beautiful grandchildren Brady and Cooper Emmelhainz, Emmeline, Alison, and Eli Cramer, brother-in-law Raymond Bettinger, Aunt Eileen Lucente, numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Her life was filled with special friends including Mark and Carol Hipple, Janet Sullivan Estep, Kathy Erbaugh, Dean and Roberta Hickman, Joann Sorensen, Kathy and Beth Chamberlin and her German family Steffi Krämer, Günter and Doris Krämer. Cindy was a devout Catholic having grown up attending Our Lady of Mercy Church and School in Dayton Ohio and graduating from Julienne High School (‘67), went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse from Lima School of Nursing in 1969. An accomplished equestrian, Cindy moved to the Columbus area in 1975 to raise her family, garden, quilt, volunteering extensively at Saint Mary Magdalene Parish, teaching rosary-making to children, serving a variety of posts in Columbus Computer Society with founding member husband John, and actively socializing with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 532. Cindy will be most remembered for her photography skills and love of horses, her ability to give more than to receive, her unconditional love and devotion to family and being an exemplary living embodiment of “The Golden Rule.” Friends will be received 3-6 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 473 South Roys Avenue, Columbus. Fr. Patrick Toner, Celebrant.
