

Colleen Therese Ethne Shillington completed a life well lived and stepped into heaven on December 4, 2015. Beloved mother of Duke, Byron, Charlene, Vernon (Amy), Aaron (Angel), and Joselyn. Stepmother to Chip(Vicky), John(Nati), Andrew(Alicia), Nancie Catherine(Emilio), Sandra(Antonio). Grandmother to Erica, Dan, Giancarlo, Joshua, Renee(Carlos), Brandon(Mackenzie), Meghan, Maggie, Ethan, Grant, Santiago, Soraya Mercedes, Alejandro, Andres, Carlos. Great grandmother to Wyatt.
Colleen worked 33 years in the office of Client Affairs, now Job and Family Services for the State of Ohio. Also, Colleen served with Central Ohio Red Cross as a volunteer in Disaster Relief. She was a civil rights activist in support of racial and women justice. She was an advocate for the poor working as a Welfare Rights Organization community activist. Colleen was a good friend and mentor to many and will be greatly missed.
She was a member of the alter guild of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Upper Arlington. Colleen was born in South Harrow, London, England, October 2, 1937. She is survived by her husband William Shillington of Upper Arlington, Ohio, her children grandchildren and great grandchild, and her sister Hazel and her family, of Middlesex, England.
