

Craig “Randy” Hadley, born September 23rd, 1951 in Lima, OH, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on October 23rd. He was preceded by his father, Herbert H. Hadley, and mother, Avalon Mae (Urie) Hadley.
Randy graduated from Hilliard High School in 1969. He earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts Degrees from The Ohio State University and completed additional studies at Appalachian Bible College and Grace College. He taught middle school math, including 22 years at Worthington Christian, and recently served as a math adjunct instructor at Columbus State Community College and Otterbein University. Randy also was the owner of his own painting business for 40 years.
He was a member of Grace Brethren Church for 28 years and was currently a member of the Fellowship Bible Chapel. Randy touched many lives as a teacher, mentor, and basketball coach. He was active in his church and loved sports, particularly Ohio State basketball and football. He was a godly husband to Carolyn Hanson Hadley for 43 years, devoted father to Melissa Christine Bussey (Brock), Craig William (Jill), and Scott Andrew (Meredith), loving grandfather to Will (10), Joely (9), Kaelyn (7), Marcus (6), Kate (6), and Avalon (4), and loyal brother to Ronald (Karen) and Rick (Judy).
Randy will be remembered for his love of people, his sense of humor, and his gift of storytelling and jokes. His godly character provides a wonderful legacy for his children, grandchildren, and every life he touched.
Randy and Carolyn chose their life verses to be Proverbs 3:5,6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Visiting hours will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, October 29th at Grace at Polaris, 8225 Worthington-Galena Rd., Westerville, OH 43081 with the service to follow.
