Cris was a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and practiced for over sixty years in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He was also a was also a proud military veteran and served as a Captain in the United States Army. Besides cars, football, the St. Louis Cardinals and numerous other hobbies, he loved dogs, especially his Weimaraner, Marmie.
Cris was a man who did not fall under the spell of spectacle, the defining status of today with people conditioned to loudly announce location, activity and the fabulous adventure that appears incredible on social media. Cris was the man who quietly assisted when there was a need, humbly toiled to make certain everyone else’s lives were better, that they had not only what was a necessity but with his insight, what they also wanted. He was not one who wanted the multitudes to know of his magnanimity.
If anything about him was blatant, it was his personality, his subtle humor, his warming demeanor that disarmed, even when perhaps he was not feeling his best.
In addition to his parents, Cris was preceded in death by his sisters Katherine and Gladys, and his brother George. He is survived by his wife Mary, his daughters Aris and Theodora and many nieces and nephews.
