

Curtis Tyrice Peoples, 46 passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was a 1991 graduate of Hamilton Township High School and later attended Miami of Ohio University and the University of Findley. During his time in high school and college, Curtis was a star football player. He coached football at several schools including Pleasant View Middle School, Central Crossing, and Obetz. Family was very important to him and he loved to spend time with them having fun and joking around. He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Peoples and brother, Rufus Peoples, Jr. Curtis is survived by his son, Ryan Peoples; daughter, Ava Peoples; mother, Mary Moore and stepfather, Willie Moore; brother, Stanley Strong; sister, Emma Peoples-Blanchard; aunt, Helen Strong; cousin, Greg Strong; niece, Briana May; nephews, Caden Peoples, Tyson Peoples, and Payton Peoples; significant other, Nikki DiRocco; mother of his children, Barbara Lawler; and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City with funeral service following at 7 p.m. Contributions in Curtis' memory may be made to a local PurpleStride walk to end pancreatic cancer.
