

He was a 1954 graduate of Washington Court House H.S. where he played the French horn in the band. He retired from Midwest Wine and Spirits in 1998 after 34 years.
Roger was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and on several committees. He was a member of the Upper Arlington Athletic Association, the Upper Arlington Booster Club, and the Plain City Lions Club for over 40 years where he served twice as the President. He was a Woody Hayes fan and a 49 year ticket holder at OSU.
Roger loved to take photographs, the Amish and their history, taking historical vacations, and going to the Hey Hey and to Plain City for coffee with his friends. Roger always fought for the underdog, was a good provider for his family, very funny, interesting, and highly intelligent. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Roger will be missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen Grim; daughter, Shari (Mac) Stump; son, Mike (Amy) Grim; grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Grim, Jesse (Trish Perry) Stump and their daughter, Marleigh, Ryan Stump, and Heather Locke and her daughter, Rileah Thompson; sister, Nancy (Mike) Holt; and several sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH, Rev. David Griebner, officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m. Private interment Union Cemetery.
