Daniel D. Pennington, age 70, passed away January 29, 2013. He was born July 17, 1942 to the late Mildred (Petty) and Dewitt Pennington in Columbus, Ohio. Dan was an avid Buckeye fan and enjoyed fishing. He retired from the Columbus Police Department after 25 years of service, National City Bank and Sears Lost Prevention. Dan is survived by loving wife, of 38 years, Nancy; children, Tod (Jen) and David (Julie); step-children, Traci Blaine and Allison Wellman; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Tom (Kim) Wallace, Roger (Pam) Wallace and Robert Duddy; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lynda and Ron McCoy. Along with his parents, Dan is preceded in death by son, Mark; brother, Larry; sister-in-law, Judy Duddy; grandson, Jason Eberhard; and nephew, Kyle Pennington. Visitation will be held 11-1:30 PM Friday, February 1, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, where funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM.
