Dannel Jean Barker

Dannel was born in Newark on December 13, 1970 to Danny and Charlotte (Ballwick) Barker. She passed quietly on Sunday August 14 at her home in Newark. She was 40 years old.

Dannel is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Beth Ballwick and her paternal grandparents Charles and Helen Barker; uncles Harry Tingler and Donald Ballwick, and her aunt Betty Shreeves.

She leaves behind her lifetime soul mate Jimmy Dollison; her parents Danny and Charlotte Barker, brother Samuel (Marilyn) Allen of Newark, her sister Tammy (Ernie) White of Hanover, brothers Mike Allen of Newark, Danny (Tiffany) Barker of Newark, and Brandon Barker of Newark. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.

Nellie Pooh-Pooh (as she was referred to by her family) attended Newark HS, was a volunteer at local nursing homes and was always there to help people as she was a good-hearted person. She loved all music, especially Nickelback, Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Even though she had a lifetime of illness, she enjoyed music and being with her family which made her happiest.
