I am sorry that I was unable to speak with all of Deb's family at the calling hours.  I just want them to know how sorry I am for their loss and that Deb was so loved at the libraries, particularly those of us at the Tech Center.  I am one of those early arrivals to work and I remember Deb's vehicle always being there in the lot when I arrived.  From the most frigid darkest winter morning to the brightest spring, it seemed that she was always there before us. Deb's dedication to the libraries, her animals and her volunteer work are testament to her ability to put others before herself. Now I pull into the lot and no vehicle.  Deb, you will be greatly missed and I wish that I could have said goodbye. So long my friend.

You were the first friendly face I saw when I started at the Libraries almost 5 years ago and that is how I will remember you most. I hope you knew how much I appreciated you and how many times you lifted my spirit with humor or plain speaking when it was needed. There is nothing so valuable as a person you can count on and that was you. Always there rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. I will miss the way you shared the things you loved most like quilting  and your dogs. I will miss your delight  and annoyance with some of the absurdities of technical services work. Most of all, I will miss the humane example you set in how you treated people.

My sincere sympathy to Deb's Family.  I will miss Deb.  She was was kind, patient, and she truly cared about the people she worked with.  I appreciate all of the times that Deb helped me with my computer problems over the years.  She taught me so much and she was always so patient.   I used to tell her that she could not retire until after I left. I'm sure that there are other people that felt the same way because Tech Services folks have relied on her computer knowledge for years. Deb was truly an outstanding person.  She was smart, kind, patient, generous, and a joy to work with. Deb - you may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten.

I am more than saddened to learn of Deb's death.  It's simply not fair that such a lovely spirit is gone.  She was one of the best things about working at the Libraries.  I knew her first on a temporary stint as her "supervisor" in Interlibrary Loan - and she was always a complete colleague and collaborator in every interaction thereafter.  And she cared about other people - their animals - their lives - their problems!  Ah, Deb!  I always thought the Libraries would be in good hands as long as your dedication and practical spirit were at work.  I'll remember you fondly as long as I am given.

I have good memories of Deb and the times we spent together at Ackerman laughing and joking while trouble shooting telephone issues.
She was an amazing person who touched the lives of many, as she always made herself available and would do her best in meeting any technical challenge head-on.

Fireside Basket - Seasonal Garden was purchased for the family of Deborah Anne Cameron.

While I did not know Ms. Cameron,I recently lost my identical twin sister, and eternal best friend, to cancer. If Ms. Siegrist mourns as I do, there is an organization TwinlessTwins that is a great support group. They really "get" it. The TT are holding their international conference in Columbus this July 12 to 14. If she wants more information, their website is www.twinlesstwins.org.

Deb has been an invaluable friend, colleague and confidant for 38 years.  I will miss her counsel, wisdom, patience and knowledge both professionally and personally.  Her contribution to the overall success of the Technical Services Department of the OSU Libraries is without measure.  She kept us all informed, connected, updated and aware of necessary information in order that we could perform our duties well.  
Personally Deb and I were friends outside of work and we relied on one another to ease the difficult times and cherish the all-too-few good times in life.
It was an honor to be her supervisor professionally and a gift to have her friendship.
Deb inspired all of us and she will be missed but never forgotten.  May you find the peace and joy you so richly deserve Deb.  I love you-

My sincerest condolences to Deb's family and her many friends.  Deb was so kind, generous with her time and many talents, and always upbeat.  I hear her smiling voice every time i say "cool beans", a phrase I learned from her.  Deb, you touched so many lives, and we are all better for your having shared your life with us. Thank you for being there for us.

My sympathy to Deb's family and her many friends at the OSU Libraries, Chadwick,  quilting classmates, church members, and all the other people who were touched by Deb's strong and loving spirit.  Deb had a wonderful smile.  She never met a problem or machine that she didn't roll up her sleeves and try to fix.  Her technical knowledge was extensive.  She was an accomplished craftsperson and delighted in sharing things she made with others.  Deb had a special place in her heart for the dogs who were her "boys."  Deb--we love you a lot.  Thank you for sharing these years of your life with us.  You are greatly missed.

Deb and I met when we joined Unity Church about 18 years ago, more or less.  We were in the same membership class which we didn't figure out until some time later, as choir members.  Deb had a lovely soprano voice, and always made choir fun with her humor and friendship.  She was so devoted to her people family and her dog family.  For years the message on her answering machine was about reaching "Deb and the boys."  Thinking of Deb is synonymous with thinking of the OSU library and Chadwick; she truly loved Chadwick and seemed to have quite a following of loyal customers at the Mother's Day sale.  I can't believe she's gone so soon. My heartful thoughts of comfort and support to you, her family.  During the times I shared Deb's company, she spoke of you all with great affection. Deb was a volunteer at the OSU Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens for many years. Her technology talents helped to bring our ever-growing plant sale into an efficient and modern operation. She would spend hours printing reams of lables, programming the cash registers, and training volutneers for the sale. Deb also spent a lot of take home pay at the sale! She was also a long-time Thursday evening volunteer back in the days when Chadwick only had only two volunteer sessions each week. She still holds the record for the number of flats of annuals planted in one session--she was a planting machine! I can still see her standing on the Howlett Hall loading dock taking a smoke break and sipping on a coke from McDonald's.I remember how difficult it was for her to give up her Dad's increasingly unreliable van, but we were all relieved when she purchased her 'new' SUV a couple of years ago--with plenty of room for plant sale cargo.  Deb will be remembered for her deep commitment to supporting the Chadwick Arboretum both as a donor and as a volunteer. Thanks for planting forward Deb! I wish you peace in your journey, and I send my condolences to your family and friends.

She is the one who is responsible for me getting my Christmas Trees through OSU. I was always impressed by her positive attitude. She was always willing to help, to answer questions - always did it with great patience as she gave you the help you needed. I will miss her greatly. Condolences to her family and those at OSU who knew her best.

Every Spring Deb would "donate"  two weeks of her vacation time to work on making the OSU Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens' Spring Plant Sale & Auction the very best it could be.  I spent quite a bit of time with her at Chadwick each Spring.  She was such a genuinely "good" person, who was always willing to help "solve" problems that were shared with her.  She loved her dogs almost more than anything.  My deepest sympathies go to her family and beloved animals.

Deb was one of the kindest, most patient people I know.  I am not a computer savy person and during the many years I worked with her whenever I would have a problem with my computer and would ask her a question (no matter how dumb the question was) she was always so patient and her explanations were easy to understand.  Deb was truly an outstanding person.  She always went the "extra mile" to help people.  And she always had a cheery greeting whenever I saw her.  I will miss seeing and talking to her.
To her family: You have my deepest sympathy.

Deb saw me looking confused and dumbfounded trying to clock out at the swipe machine after the most recent general meeting at the Tech Center at the end of March.  She ran over from across the room and offered to help me out. She radiated confidence in her job and honestly every interaction I'd had with her over the years was a positive one.  She'll be sorely missed.

OSU has lost one of its best.  Deb's vast knowledge, patience, and helpfulness at the OSU Libraries will be greatly missed.  There will never be another Deb.  My condolences to the family.  I know how close I am to my family.  I can't begin to imagine how hard it would be to lose a sibling.  May God give you comfort in your time of grief.
