Deborah Formella

Lieutenant Commander Deborah Joan Formella was born on November 24, 1960 and died on April 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, John Formella and her twin sister Donna Formella Ravenscroft. She is survived by her wife, Rebecca Vocca of Columbus; mother, Joan Formella; brother, Mark (Kristan) Formella of Smithfield, Virginia; sisters, Laura (Chris) Fennimore of Pittsburgh, PA and Linda Formella of Arlington, VA. She was adored by her nephews; Joe Fennimore (Julie Mueller) of Pittsburgh, Adam (Virginia) Formella of Elizabeth City, NC and USMC 2nd Lieutenant David Formella of Richmond, VA.

The most loyal of friends and a dedicated professional. It is heartbreaking and unfairly difficult to mourn the passing of loved ones during this time of chaos, so we simply move forward trying to fill our hears with memories of her incredible humor and indelible passion for "rightness" that was demonstrated on a daily basis.

Your heart gave out but your spirit will live on in all you represented.
