Dick Wetzel, 90, passed away peacefully September 21, 2015. He was born December 29, 1924 in Wellston, Ohio to Orestes and Gladys (Bodwell) Wetzel, who preceded him in death, along with his sister Helen Jones. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Betty, and their son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shirley Wetzel; also nieces and nephews. Dick enlisted in the Army Air Force during WWII, where he did extensive experimental work on rockets. He retired from Plaskolite with 26 years of dedicated service. Family will welcome friends 4-6:30pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 with a 6:30 service to follow; Andrew Hoover, celebrant.
