Donald M Lamont

Don Lamont, 71, was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Though we mourn his passing, we do so with hope, confident that Don is now in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born in Seattle, Washington to Joseph and Beth Lamont, Don grew up alongside his sister, Diane. Together, they enjoyed a vibrant childhood in Seattle, where they were longtime members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. Their upbringing was filled with adventures—snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, and treasured family time on Bainbridge Island.

Don graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He later received his Master of Business Administration from Seattle Pacific University.

Seattle was always home to Don. He loved its beauty and culture, and his passions reflected that—traveling, reading, studying a wide range of topics, biking, investing in others, and sharing meals at favorite restaurants with his beloved wife, Karen. His legacy is one of faith, prayer, service, and deep devotion to his family.

Don is survived by his wife, Karen; his sister, Diane; and his children:

• Josh (Nicole) and grandchildren Alison, Noah, Carter, Isobel, Boone, Audrey, and Kate

• Megan (Zack) and grandchildren Abby and Titus

• Kelsey (Jesse) and grandchildren Lucas, Molly, Nathan, and Owen “Donald”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Beth Lamont.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories we hold, the lessons Don imparted, and the strength of our shared faith.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held on September 13th at 11:00 AM EST at Village Church Columbus. A time to greet the family will take place from 10-11 AM EST. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather and honor the remarkable life he lived.
