

Donald John “Jack” Russell, age 98, of Oakleaf Village, died February 19, 2011. Survived by his only son, David (wife Diane); his granddaughter, Amy Jo Morris (husband Thom and their children, Rhett, Rowan and Regan Morris); and his grandsons, Ian (and his son, Colton), Matt (wife Monika and their daughter, Kensie), and Ben (wife Stacie and their son, Logan). Jack was a kind and gentle man. He graduated with a B.S. and Masters Degree in business from the University of Michigan in 1935. During WWII, Jack joined the Ninth Armored Infantry and helped shorten the war by capturing the bridge over the Rhine at Remagen. He was an accountant and comptroller for several companies including American Greetings. Family will receive friends Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 2 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH. Full military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Glendora, CA.
