

Jean was preceded in death by her husband George A. Yount. They had been being married for 34 years. She was preceded in death also by her parents Glenna and Alva George, her brother Marcus George, and her foster sister Patti Hysell.
Jean is survived by her daughter Cynthia (husband, Mark Culver), Rev. Dr Michael G. Yount (wife, Susan), and Pastor Christopher Yount (wife, Elizabeth). She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren Christiana Bauer (husband, David), Becky Yount, Shelly Strang (husband, Jacob), Luke Yount, Jamie Yount, Joshua Culver, Emily Culver (husband, Brandon Oney), Nate Yount, and Daniel Yount. Jean is also survived by her 4 great grandchildren Gracelynn, Ezekiel, and Felise Bauer, and Ivy Strang.
Jean graduated from Plain City High School in 1948. She retired from Bank One (currently, Chase Bank). While raising her family she participated in PTA, was a room mother, cub scout leader, girl scout leader and a volunteer preparing hot chocolate for the school safety patrol.
Jean was a member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church, she was Senior Chairman of the Harvesters and a member of the Lunch Brunch.
Jean was a contributing member to the Riverside Hospital Sewing Guild, as well.
Jean was talented at sewing, knitting, crochet, and several types of embroidery. She created many gifts for family and friends through the years.
She was extremely loved by her family and friends and will be missed deeply.
