

Dorothy M. Courtright, 92, died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Mill Run Gardens and Care Center in Hilliard, Ohio. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Elnora and Joseph Schludecker, Dorothy married Robert M. “Bob” Courtright in 1944 and moved to Ashville, Ohio, where they reared seven children together until Bob’s death in 1972. Predeceasing Dorothy were two of their children, Donald Robert Courtright and Martha Courtright Gregg; grandson, Kyle Gregg; and brother, Ralph Schludecker. Employed for 20 years at DCSC (Defense Construction Supply Center) in Whitehall, Dorothy retired at age 72 and moved to West Jefferson, Ohio, where she was a devout member of Saints Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church. During her retirement she particularly enjoyed spending time with her large family. Favorite pastimes included roller skating, which she did with grace to the delight of children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Kathleen Siegfried, Joann Runkle, Sue (Joe) Franks, Shirley (Tim) Raschke, and Joseph Courtright; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and a score of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. The family wished to express gratitude to the staff at Mill Run Gardens and to HomeReach Hospice for their loving and conscientious care that Dorothy received throughout the past years. Friends may call on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM with prayer service at 7:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 10:00AM at Saints Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, Ohio. Fr.
