

Dorothy "Dee Dee" Hale, 73 of Columbus, died Thursday, May 2, 2013. She was born November 5, 1939 in River, KY to the late Wesley and Madge (Music) Hale. She was a 1958 graduate of Magnolia High School, Matewan, WV and retired after 40 years with Motorist Insurance. She was a member of Columbus First Freewill Baptist Church. She loved children and worked in nursery care at the church. She was a walking angel who never had a bad word and could find the best in everyone. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Tom Hale. She is survived by siblings Loretta Blankenship, Raymond (Suzan) Hale, Aretta (Tom) Mouser, Thelma Hale, Doug Hale and Jeanne (Bud) Lemon, adopted brother Steven Shirley, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. and Tues from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Columbus First Freewill Baptist Church, 49 E. 3rd Ave. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
