Dorothy Esther Howard

Dorothy Esther Howard, age 103, died December 26, 2009. She was born on October 26, 1906 in Alton, Ohio to A. Sterling and Edna Howard. She graduated from Canal Winchester High School in 1926. Dorothy owned a beauty shop out of her home in Wichita, Kansas. She was a long time member of David Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Gail; parents; sisters, Helen (John) Zarbaugh, and Mary (Al) Kuhinoff; brothers, Frances (Vivian) Howard, Arthur (Blanche) Howard, and Willis (Helen) Howard; and niece, Edna May. She is survived by her nephew, Kenneth (Glenna) Zarbaugh; nieces, Janet Canaday, and Donna Donley; great nieces, Linda Mills, Jayne Blair, Debbie Morgan, and Carol McIntosh; three great-great nieces; six great-great nephews; and many friends. The family wishes to thank Winchester Place and Harbor Lights Hospice for their care and attention given to Aunt Dorothy. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Alton Cemetery.
