

Dorothy A. Maxwell, age 74, of Columbus, died January 17, 2021 at Doctor's Hospital. She was a member of the first graduating class of Bishop Ready High School (1965). She worked for many years as a title clerk for car dealers in Columbus. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Mary Magdalene Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and James Devereaux; daughter, Donna Mackey; step-son, Jim Maxwell; siblings, JoAnn Dolehanty, and James and Mike Devereaux. She is survived by her husband, James "Fred" Maxwell; children, Debbie and John Mackey; step-children, Traci and Tony Maxwell; grandchildren, Justin Mackey, Chelsea (Shawn) Beasy, Madi Johnston, and Lauren Dunn; great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Brayden, Braxton, and Oaklynn; siblings, Mary Lancia, Pat Devintz, Kay Shearn, and Rose Harris; many other relatives and friends. Friends will be received from 1-3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Heart and Hope by Schoedinger, 3030 West Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 473 S. Roys Avenue, where friends will also be received one hour prior to the funeral; interment St. Joseph Cemetery (please wear a mask and observe social distancing).
