

Dorothy Ann Schultz, age 93, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 20, 1925 to the late Henry and Dorothy (Hanna) Spaeth and was a graduate of Columbus North High School. Dorothy married William Schultz on May 26, 1946; he preceded her in death on December 28, 1997; also preceding her in death were brothers, Carl and Raymond Spaeth and sisters, Pauline Miller and Betsy Spaeth. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Linda (Tom) Caporale; grandchildren, Laurie (Duane) Barnett, Amy (Ken) Weilbacher, Christopher (Rochel) Colflesh, Jamie (Alex) Colflesh; sister Jean Frank; sister-in-law Irma Spaeth; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her lifelong and very dear friend Christine Stuck. Dorothy was an organist at St. Peter's Lutheran Church for 58 years as well as at Schoedinger Funeral Home for nearly 50 years. She loved gardening, going to craft shows and making beautiful crafts. She enjoyed her fellowship at St. Luke Lutheran Church and cherished her many friends. Dorothy was a true lady: gracious, pretty, caring, talented and just a touch of mischief! Family will welcome friends 2-5pm Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4456 Morse Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 led by Pastor Steve Brown and Rev. Jim Stuck.
