Dear Karen and kids, My name is Laura Severns and my husband and I are both patients of Dr. Miller. i just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for your Dad and husband. My husband is still alive because of your Dad. He is the one that requires men to have prostrate between 40-45. He did my husbands at 44 years old and sent him on to a urologist. I believe he knew then what we would find. Most doctors do not start prostrate screening until 50. if that was the case Imay not be writing this and telling you I feel my husband is still alive dueto your husband and father. He loved being a doctor and it showed when you went to see him. So thank you or sharing him with many people. I sure am greatful for him and so is my children and granddaughter. He will be missed by many.

We don't know you but our hearts went out to you because our husband and father died from PSP also. It is a terrible disease. We thought our family member was young but to lose someone as young as Dr. Miller must have been devastating. We only hope he did not suffer too long. My husband declined very rapidly and although we miss  him so much,we couldn't wish for him to go on and suffer. Our condolences go out to all of you.

I was a resident at Grant at the same time that Jeff was there.  I was a year behind him.  I must say even in death he is still teaching, because I was not aware of PSP and I had to look it up.  I know now a lot more about it and will know to look for it.  He was a good doctor and always seemed to love life and love his patients.  A hole has been left in the Family Practice community!

Lit a candle in memory of Dr.Jeffery David Miller

My family first met Dr. Miller when he was working at  his Uncle, Dr. Andrew Pultz's office.  We followed him to his new practice he began with Dr. Robert Zaino in Gahanna.  He treated me, my mother, my grandmother and later, my dad, my husband and my daughter. My whole family LOVED HIM.  He NEVER made you feel rushed, even after he became extremely busy.   When he got sick we were all so very sad.  Our lives will never be the same without our trusted family physician and dear, dear friend.

Karen, many years ago I was referred to Dr. Miller by Dr Michael Sprague. How ironic it was to be told today by Dr. Sprague while at his office that Dr. Miller had passed away. It broke my heart when he was no longer able to practice. He always told me and my husband that we were not just his patients but his friends. He cared so much for each and every patient. We always asked about him each time we were in the office. He will be so greatly missed. He loved his family so very much. He spoke of you and the kids quite often. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Karen, Ryan and Allyson,

Twenty-three years ago Bill and I attended the wedding of the daughter of our best friends, Christine and Len, to a handsome young doctor.  I remember also attending a shower held by your future mother-in-law Genny and her sisters.  Our families' histories go 'way back to Houston where Bill met Len at Ashland Chemical in Houston - some 40 years ago.  Then came the time we all got transferred to Columbus, Ohio, youall to Paula Drive and us to McVey Blvd.  Our kids Donna and Matt were playmates with you, Andrew, and Lisa.  Over the years we have been kept informed  of what was happening with the Millers and the kids, including these last stressful 3 years.  Many prayers have been said for Jeff and you.  I'm sure it's very hard to understand why all this happened to Jeff at such a young age.  It was hard, too, for us to understand why Matt died so young.  There was so much more of life to experience and that loss will remain with us for the rest of our lives.  Our hearts go out to you all at this sad time.  Just know that we love you and will continue to  remember you all in our prayers.

I've know Dr. Miller  from his days as a resident at Grant Medical Center, he was so nice, friendly and compassionate. We had "hug day" and played Elvis in the Respiratory Unit on 8-west, and he would always come in and give hugs and listen to Elvis.  I always called him "Jeffy poo", and I called Rob Zaino "Robbie poo" . We go way back. In loving memory of Dr. Miller and to his office staff, and family we are very saddened of the loss of such a "Great" human being. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Dr. Jeff. He has been our family doctor almost since he started practicing in Gahanna on Cherry Bottom. Our family will truly miss him and his sense of humor.  He can never be replaced.

My family and I are extremely saddened with Dr. Miller's passing.  It's difficult for us to even go to his office but we will continue since there will always be a part of him there.  .  He fought a good fight to the last.  Our thoughts are with his family and his loved ones.  He was more than a doctor.  We considered him our friend.  He cared about people something alot of doctors dont.  He had compassionate.  He was our family doctor since 1996.  Knew my children from the time they were very young and though their teenage years which was difficult but he got us through. He touched so many lives with his brief stay here.  He's in a much better place and will be watching over his family always.  It is with deep grief we say goodbye to him.

I am so very saddened to learn of Dr. Miller's passing.  He was alway such a wonderful and compassionate doctor.  It is so hard to describe how wonderful a doctor and person he was.

We were so sorry to learn of Dr. Miller's passing.  He was always wonderful to our family, and we know him from being with Dr. Zaino when they were both in with Dr.  Pultz.   His  sweet smile,  and  animated voice always made us feel warm and welcome.  Our sympathy to his family - he was so proud of them, and spoke of them so lovingly.
               May you all know no more sorrow, and may it comfort you to know that we thought he was a fine  doctor, and a friend to us all.   He will be missed.

We were very sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Miller. Dr. Jeff became my boys family physician when we moved here in 1991.  Joseph and John loved Dr. Miller, they looked forward to their appts. with him because he took such an interest in each one of them. He was interested in what they were doing in school, in church and what extra activities they were involved in. He was so understanding and  compassionate and so easy to talk to. He will be greatly missed and we will always remember his gentle ways.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and may his Memory be ever Eternal.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dr. Jeff Miller's passing.  I met him at medical meetings and we had patients in common.  He was always such a nice guy and a gentleman.  His patients were very fond of him and his care for them was excellent.  He will be missed.

Dr. Miller was our doctor and our friend. He helped Herb, my kids, and myself many times. He saw us through our son, also a Jeff, at 25 with testicular cancer. I never missed sending him a birthday card and he called me is earring lady. You will be missed greatly. We will see you again someday.

Everyone knows him as Dr. Jeff but I remember him through my childhood memories as little Jeffey - the little guy in my Kindergarden class - - nap time as we listened to our teacher read, "T'was the Night Before Christmas," and he'd slip those two fingers in his mouth and hug his blanket. My memories of us growing up (our Fox cousins) were very happy and that is how I remember our family with a lot of love. Aunt Genny an Mom (Marilyn) were in the Hospital around the same time to deliver us - -Jeff, April 10 and me April 27, 1961. What a great beginning and childhood we had.

What wonderful testimonies to Jeff, a caring and compassionate person and physician.  I will always remember Jeff as Jim's charming and mischievous younger cousin.  He will be missed.

I remember meeting Dr. Miller while he was a resident at Grant when I worked in the Emergency Room.  He was a kind and gentle person who had the heart and soul of an angel.  I know you are walking amongst us!  Your smile was infectious.  You will be missed!

He knew my family well, over the years. I recently moved to Pittsburgh and my mother called to tell me of his passing.  I know he will be missed, I hope his family knows what a special  man he was. My thoughts are with you  ..

We are sorry to hear about Dr. Miller's passing and would like to extend our sympathy to his family.  Dr. Jeff became our family doctor when we moved to Gahanna in 1993.  The first thing I noticed about him was how friendly and down-to-earth he was.  He would spend time with you and did not make you feel like you were just a number during our appointments.  He was just a little portly at this time but as time went he decided to be more fit.  He told me he and Karen took up Karate.  He also would tell me during my appointments how he brought healthy food to work (I think he mentioned small cans of tuna).  I know that dieting is hard.  I was very impressed with him because after a year he was looking really trim and fit - Good Job Dr. Jeff!!!

Our girls would always go running into Dr. Jeff's arms everytime they had a doctor's appointment.  He would always say "there's my girls".  They didn't mind having an appointment because they got to see their Dr. Jeff.  We will miss your laugh and smile!  Our prayers go out to his family.  He will me missed...

Dr. Miller was our family physician when we lived in Gahanna. Our family loved the compassion and devotion he had for people, and though we moved an hour away, we continued to go to him as our family physician. Our thoughts and prayers are with you! God Bless!

As a high school student I became one of Dr. Miller's first patients when he began his private practice.  He continued to care for parents and siblings through many difficult times.  When I started a family of my own his was always so reassuring.  He loved when when my husband and I would come in with our children.  He would snuggle our babies and tells us,  "perfect...another perfect baby."  We both cried the day he examined Isabel and he realized that he could no longer be their primary physician.  We will miss you Dr. Miller, but will take comfort in knowing we will see each other again in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Dr. Jeff was  our family doctor since my family moved to Gahanna in 1993. His kindness and concern for our health was felt time & time again over the years. Even when I moved out of the area for a bit, Dr. Jeff was the Dr I could count on when I needed  medical advice and didn't feel  I was getting the honest truth.... Dr.Jeff provided that for me! 

My thoughts and prayers are with his family & friends during this difficult time. Dr. Jeff will be remembered in this community for years to come because of the amazing man he was!

I want to thank Dr Miller for all the time he took to teach me everything I know now about medicine and how to be a better person. He saw so much potiential in me that I did not see in myself. He helped me develope confidence and maturity in the work place. Thanks to him I am the person I am today. Dr Miller you will be missed and I am only lucky to have been able to work with you, even if only for 3 short years. 

 Karen, Ally, and Ryan you are in my prayers every night. I understand all to well what it is like to loose a loved one and I pray that you are able to get through this hard time. Just remember there is a lot of people out there that love you and care about you. So lean on them for support.
